This sculptural vintage hall tree was crafted in Italy circa 1960 and reflects the light, organic character associated with Italian Mid-Century Modern design. Constructed of bamboo and bent rattan, the freestanding coat and hat stand is designed in the manner of Franco Albini, whose postwar work helped elevate traditional cane and rattan craftsmanship into sophisticated modern furniture.

A tall bamboo standard supports an airy crown composed of looping rattan elements and eight functional hooks arranged on two levels. The four upper arms terminate in rounded wooden finials, while the lower curled hooks provide additional hanging space for hats, coats, scarves, or handbags. Wrapped rattan bindings secure the curved components and add attractive handmade detail throughout.

The base is equally well conceived, with four gently splayed bamboo legs joined by a circular bent-rattan stretcher for stability. Its warm honey-toned finish highlights the natural nodes, color variations, and texture of the bamboo, while the open silhouette keeps the piece visually light despite its generous height.

The hall tree is in excellent condition commensurate with age and use, consistent with its vintage character.
