Created in France circa 1860, and signed on the back (unreadable), each painting is set in an ornate gilded Rococo-style frame decorated with raised scroll work, shell motifs, and floral embellishments. Each artwork features a tranquil natural scene with trees, water, people strolling by the lake, and distant buildings in the background, all painted in rich, muted tones. One artwork depict a serene lakeside or riverbank village at either sunrise or sunset, judging by the warm, golden light and long shadows.
