Striking in scale and architectural presence, this pair of antique French console tables was created using finely worked period iron railings. Crafted in France circa 1880, each long console features a graceful bow-front profile supported by straight legs joined by a continuous lower stretcher, giving the substantial form both strength and visual balance.

The polished iron bases are richly detailed with scrolling ornament, diamond-pattern lattice panels, circular motifs, and floral accents characteristic of decorative French architectural ironwork of the late 19th century. The openwork construction lends the consoles an airy quality despite their impressive proportions, while the polished black and silvery steel finish highlights the hand-forged detailing and sculptural curves.

Each console is surmounted by a thick 3 cm Nero Marquina marble top, selected for its dramatic black ground and contrasting white veining. The shaped tops follow the bowed outline of the bases and are finished along the front with an elegant Dupont-style molded edge.

Originally conceived from antique architectural elements, these substantial console tables combine historic craftsmanship with highly decorative modern functionality.
