Decorate a study, office or powder room with this elegant pair of antique marine paintings. Crafted in France circa 1940, and set in a carved blackened and gilt frame, each convex enameled hammered artwork depicts a harbor scene in the manner of Dutch painter, Willem Van de Velde. With wonderful details and colors, these two paintings are in excellent condition. Labels on the underside for further authentication. Willem van de Velde the Younger ( 1633-1707) was a Dutch marine painter, the son of Willem van de Velde the Elder, who also specialized in maritime art. His brother, Adriaen van de Velde, was a landscape painter. 10.5″W x 9.5″H
