About

Add a touch of traditional Dutch charm to a mantel, console, or bookshelf with this decorative blue and white faience vase. Crafted in Holland circa 1970, the tall ceramic vase features an unusual octagonal form with a narrow waist, flared opening, and gently molded base.

The front is decorated with a picturesque Dutch village scene featuring traditional gabled buildings, a church steeple, and a waterside landscape. Hand-painted cobalt blue floral motifs embellish the sides, while scrolling foliage, stylized flowers, and blue borders accentuate the architectural silhouette. The reverse features a simple floral motif.

The underside bears a Delft-style maker’s mark and an inscription indicating manufacture in Holland. The vase is in excellent vintage condition commensurate with age and use, with light crazing to the glazed surface. A charming decorative accent for a kitchen, dining room, or traditional interior.

Dimensions: 4.75″ Diameter x 9.75″ H
