This elegant fruitwood cabinet, crafted in France circa 1860, exemplifies classic Empire style. The antique vanity is decorated with finely carved circular columns on both sides, each embellished with decorative bronze rings at the neck and base. The lift-top opens to reveal a hidden beauty storage compartment and an inset mirror, all beneath the original light grey marble. Inside, a distinctive marble shelf provides additional storage. This chest is in excellent condition commensurate with age and use, and adorns a rich walnut French polish. The Empire style cabinet would make a wonderful addition in a girls bedroom or placed in a powder room as a vanity. Measures: 16″ W x 14.75″ D x 30.5″ H.
