About
Enhance your collection with this exquisite pair of covered Delft vases. Crafted circa 1920 in Maastricht, Netherlands by Petrus Regout & Co. and-painted in the traditional blue and white palette, each faïence vase is adorned with scrolling floral motifs and large medallion reserves depicting blooming chrysanthemums and peonies, symbols of prosperity and longevity in decorative arts. The elegant baluster-form bodies are topped with domed lids, each crowned by a sculpted foo dog finial, adding an exotic chinoiserie touch. The vases feature beautifully defined outlines and intricate foliate patterns over a stippled ground, showcasing the fine craftsmanship for which Delftware is known. The bases bear the underglaze “Delfts” mark alongside the Petrus Regout Maastricht factory stamp, confirming their Dutch origin. Both antique pieces are in excellent condition with minor craquelure consistent with age and use, and make a stunning display on mantels, consoles, or as part of a cabinet collection.
