Early 20th C. French Louis XV Iron Chandelier with Gilt and Crystal Pendants
$2,900
About
Bring a refined touch of Old-World charm to any room with this beautifully crafted French chandelier, forged in France circa 1920. Designed in the Louis XV taste, the fixture features a graceful cage-form silhouette composed of hand-wrought iron finished in a deep black patina. Gilt accents highlight the scrolling arms, foliate appliqués, and molded medallions along the octagonal center ring, giving the piece a warm, time-softened glow. The chandelier is fitted with four lights, each newly wired for modern use and set over scalloped bobeches with candle sleeve covers. Below, an array of hand-cut crystal pendants, charming pear-shaped drops with delicately sculpted leaves, catch and scatter the light beautifully. Additional crystal beads and a central finial lend even more sparkle and movement. A gilt crown-style top completes the composition, enhancing its regal, antique presence. This wonderfully decorative fixture is in excellent condition commensurate with age and use, and would complement an entryway, dining room, or living area seeking authentic French elegance. Measures: 29″ W × 43″ H.
