Blending decorative lighting with the character of an antique timepiece, this unusual chandelier reflects the rustic elegance of French Provincial design. Crafted in France circa 1920, the oblong iron fixture is composed of graceful scrolling elements centered around a circular openwork clock face. Roman numerals encircle ornate adjustable hands, while sculpted acanthus leaves and curling tendrils enrich the composition.

Six sweeping arms extend across the lower section, each supporting a candle-style light fitted with a decorative sleeve and simple bobeche. The fixture retains its original verdigris-painted finish, enhanced by gilt accents and a beautifully aged patina that emphasizes the hand-worked details. The clock face is decorative and does not contain a working movement.

The antique chandelier is in excellent condition commensurate with age and use. All six lights have been newly wired to meet US standards. A canopy, hanging loop, and the original double chain are included, each carefully color-matched to the fixture. Its generous proportions and distinctive silhouette embody an authentic Country French aesthetic.
