The tall rectangular form is set within a finely carved giltwood frame, decorated with delicate floral and foliate motifs throughout. The corners are richly embellished with sculptural bouquets, while the inner molding features subtle engraved detailing, adding depth and refinement to the composition. The clean symmetry and restrained ornament reflect the Louis XVI aesthetic, offering a refined balance between structure and decoration. The original mercury glass retains a soft, slightly mottled reflection that enhances its authenticity and period character, while the giltwood frame displays a warm, time-softened patina.
