Early 20th Century French Louis XV Verdigris and Gilt Iron 8-Light Chandelier
$2,600
About
Bring elegant French character to a dining room, entry, or breakfast room with this antique wrought iron chandelier crafted in France circa 1920. The eight-light fixture is designed in the Louis XV taste with graceful scrolling arms, flowing asymmetrical curves, and richly detailed foliate motifs throughout. The openwork frame is embellished with hand-applied gilt accents that beautifully contrast against the dark verdigris-painted iron finish, creating depth and visual warmth.
The chandelier features decorative floral rosettes within circular medallions, stylized acanthus leaves, and a sculptural central finial that reinforces the refined Rococo-inspired silhouette. The balanced proportions and airy design allow the fixture to make a statement without overwhelming a space.
The chandelier has been newly wired to US standard and is dressed with faux candle sleeve covers. The fixture is in excellent condition commensurate with age and use, and adorns a rich verdigris patinated finish with rubbed gilt highlights. Chain and canopy included.
