Early 20th C. French Four-Light Floral Tole Chandelier with Porcelain Flowers
$1,800
About
Decorate a powder room, bedroom, or breakfast area with this charming antique floral chandelier. Crafted in France circa 1920, the four-light fixture features an intricate hand-forged tole iron framework fashioned as intertwined vines and branches, creating a delicate basket-form silhouette suspended from a decorative chain.
The chandelier is richly adorned with an abundance of hand-painted porcelain flowers in soft shades of pink, white, yellow, and lavender, interspersed among sculpted metal leaves and curling tendrils. Four gracefully scrolled arms extend from the flowering framework and terminate in foliate candle cups, each supporting a single light. The combination of naturalistic ironwork and colorful porcelain blossoms reflects the romantic garden-inspired designs favored in France during the early 20th century.
The aged bronze-toned finish has developed a warm patina over time, beautifully complementing the vibrant floral accents. The fixture has been newly wired and is ready for installation. This antique French four-light chandelier is in excellent condition commensurate with age and use, and would make an elegant focal point in both traditional and Country French interiors.
