19th Century French Carved Beech Wood and Rush Settee Bench from Normandy

Place this elegant, antique bench against a wall between two windows, or in an entry hallway. Crafted in Normandy, circa 1870, the timeless settee sits on six curved legs connected with bottom stretchers, over a bombe apron. The back with curved sides is decorated with three floral basket medallions, and flanked by two turned side armrests. The wide seating is made of hand woven rush, and dressed with a custom green velvet cushion. The bench in is excellent condition commensurate with age and use with a rich walnut patina; it would add a warm, country French spin to any room in your home. Measures: 45″W x 24″D x 33.5″H.
