19th Century French Hand Painted and Gilt Porcelain Old Paris Limoges Platter
Decorate a wall or a bookcase with this Haviland Limoges style antique decorative wall platter. Crafted in Paris France, circa 1890 by Emile Bourgeois, the hand painted plate features two majestic colorful birds grazing in a field, the dish is further embellished with three bands of gold leaf decor around the blue cobalt rim. The birds and surrounding scenery are rendered in a realistic, yet expressive, painterly style. The Classic, porcelain platter is in excellent condition with rich and vivid colors throughout. Stamped Grand Depot, E. Bourgeois, Paris, Limoges, France on the underside for further authentication. Measures: 15.5″ W x 12.5″ D.
