This colorful, antique terracotta hanging plate was sculpted in Beaune, France, circa 1860. The oval plate is hand-painted in a green and violet palette and has a beautiful trompe l’oeil texture. The wall decoration features two Italian style goddesses or muses talking to each other and is signed on the back “Gambut Aine a Beaune”. Excellent condition with rich colors.
