Elegant antique tray from France, circa 1870; oval in shape, the large black tole platter is embellished by hand-painted gilt decor around the lip, and a colorful winter scenery in the centre. The colorful scene features young children walking along a trail, two of them bringing home wood burning firewood. Beautifully done with rich patinated colors, the tray is in excellent condition commensurate with age and use.
Measures: 30″ W x 24″ H.
