19th Century French Hand Painted Faience Jardinière from Normandy

Crafted in Rouen, France circa 1890, the oblong, ceramic planter sits on four scroll feet under a shaped apron. The shallow, detailed planter has elegant side handles, a scalloped rim around the top, and is embellished with a carved decorative shell in the center. The detailed, ornate flower pot features hand painted floral decor medallions on both sides with accompanying foliage. The porcelain centerpiece is in excellent condition with rich colors in a blue, yellow, red and green palette. Decorate a mantel or a dining room with this large and colorful antique jardinière. Marking on the bottom. Measures: 25″ W x 7.5″ D x 9″ H.
