Crafted in France circa 1880, the scientific instrument is uniquely decorated with a Paris crest in the center, with a sailboat and numerous Fleur-de-Lys throughout the design. The stately, embellished scale is flanked by Roman figures on each side. The scale has its original pair of brass trays and original hand paint job. The classic decorative accessory is in excellent working condition and has a rich patinated painted finish and well-maintained gilt accents.
