19th Century French Louis XIV Carved Walnut Encoignure Corner Cabinet
Decorate a room corner with this elegant antique “Encoignure”, or corner cabinet. Crafted in Southern France circa 1860, the cabinet stands on front bun feet over a straight plinth base. The confiturier features a single door decorated with carved recessed panel, over a triangle shape top surface; opening the door, it reveals a center shelf for ultimate storage. The Provincial cabinet is in excellent condition commensurate with age and use, and adorns a rich walnut patina. Key included. The Louis XIV corner cupboard could also been used in a powder room to store toilet paper, towels or soap! Measures: 36.25″W x 22.5″D x 35.5″H.
