19th Century French Louis XIV Carved Walnut Stool with Needlepoint Tapestry
This elegant antique stool was crafted in southwest France circa 1870; rectangular in shape and heavily carved, the stool stands on four scrolled legs decorated with claw feet and acanthus leaves, over a carved scalloped apron embellished with floral and shell motifs. The seat is upholstered with the original floral needlepoint tapestry in the beige and green color palette. The stool is in excellent condition with a rich walnut patina. Measures: 24″ W x 17″ D x 20″ H.
