19th Century French Louis XV Rococo Bronze Dore Fireplace Screen
Decorate your fireplace with this elegant antique Parisian screen. Crafted in France circa 1870, the rectangular shaped screen sits on scroll feet decorated with acanthus leaf motifs over a carved and pierced floral apron. With mesh wire on the facade, the fire place essential features Louis XV style motifs including and a center medallion decorated with the traditional Louis XVI ribbon bow and with foliage and torch motifs. The bronze dore screen is further embellished by an intricate handle at the top decorated with leaves flanked with symmetrical foliate embellishments. The decorative Rococo screen is in excellent condition commensurate with age and use, and adorns a rich patinated gilt finish. Measures: 24″ W x 6.5″ D x 29″ H.
