19th Century French Louis XVI Carved and Painted Dining Chairs, Suite of Ten
Dressed a dining table with this elegant suite of antique dining room chairs. Crafted in France, circa 1890, the set comprises 8 sidechairs and two matching armchairs. Each chair stands on tapered and fluted legs decorated with a floral rosette medallion at the shoulder, over a bombe apron. The chair features a tall and pitch arched back with center oval medallion, a wide and deep seat; each Bergere armchair features open armrest with padding. Both back and seat have been upholstered with a new grey cotton fabric. The ten Louis XVI style chairs are in excellent condition, and adorn a rich two-tone hand-painted and textured patinated finish in the light grey and beige palette.
