19th Century French Louis XVI Carved Painted Three-Door Buffet with Drawers
Crafted in France circa 1870, the antique grey painted sideboard stands on eight turned and tapered legs over a straight and carved plinth apron. The traditional enfilade features three doors across the front; each door with inset panel, is decorated with floral medallions in each corner. The inside reveals shelving for additional storage. The narrow buffet is further fitted with three carved drawers with geometric decor over four decorative vertical spline columns. The surface is topped with a hand painted faux marble top. The Louis XVI style buffet with straight lines is in excellent condition commensurate with age and use, and adorns a rich textured patinated painted finish in a neutral gray and off-white palette. Use this versatile and practical buffet as a serving piece in a breakfast room or dining room. Key included. Measures: 70.5″ W x 22″ D x 38″ H.
