This elegant, antique multi-color marble “Selette” was crafted in France, circa 1860. The Napoleon III pedestal sits on a thick sturdy square plinth embellished with a bronze mount at the base decorated with repousse acanthus leaf motifs. The circular stem is decorated at the neck with an ornate bronze ring embellished with foliage and acanthus leaf decor in high relief. The surface is dressed with a swivel square removable top. The tall variegated pedestal is in excellent condition with a patinated finish and different shades of marble in the grey, red, white, and beige palette. Place this timeless, classical column in the corner of a living room to hold a bust or a vase of flowers. Some scratches on the top surface. Measures: 11.75″W x 11.75″D x46.5″H.
