This spectacular antique hunt cabinet was crafted in northern France circa 1870. The large bookcase built in two sections, stands on a molded base further raised on bracket feet, and features exquisite carvings starting at the pediment with a detachable carved crest with center wolf head sculpture. The top section is decorated with a frieze with heraldic cartouche under a molded cornice, and three arched doors with the original wavy glass panels. The doors are embellished with foliage motifs and open revealing adjustable inside shelving. The lower buffet section is fitted with three carved drawers over cabinets doors decorated with game bird, fish and rabbit motifs in high relief, and also separated with carved leaves decor. The inside reveals a long central shelf for ultimate storage. The elegant bookcase is in excellent condition with a rich light oak patinated finish. Three keys included.
