Decorate a console, dining table, or wall with this elegant antique French Rouen faience serving tray, crafted circa 1880. Modeled in a richly contoured oval form with pierced side handles and an elaborately molded scalloped rim, the piece reflects the lively Rococo Revival spirit of late 19th century French ceramics. The surface is beautifully hand painted in a vibrant palette of cobalt blue, ochre, iron red, olive green, and cream, centered with a charming basket overflowing with flowers, wheat sheaves, and delicate blossoms. The raised scrolling border, stylized florals, and rhythmic dotted accents create wonderful movement and depth, while subtle glaze pooling and visible brushwork highlight its handcrafted character. The reverse retains its original glazed finish with firing marks and old French inventory labeling.
