19th Century Spanish Baroque Carved Oak Console with Breccia Marble Top
$9,400
About
Bring architectural scale and old world character to an interior with this impressive antique console table crafted in Spain, circa 1860. Built of solid oak, the long narrow console stands on boldly scrolled Baroque legs joined by an elegant forged iron stretcher embellished with hand-forged decorative elements and central rosette motifs. The richly carved façade features three drawers across the front, each decorated with repeating floral roundels and dressed with the original iron drop pulls.
The substantial top is dressed with a beautifully veined Breccia marble slab showcasing warm cinnamon, taupe, cream, and white tones throughout. The marble is finished with a molded bullnose edge, adding refinement and visual weight to the piece while creating a striking contrast against the warm oak patina below.
Versatile and highly decorative, this antique Spanish console could be placed behind a sofa, in a grand entryway, dining room, or along a long hallway wall. The combination of hand-carved oak, forged iron, and richly veined marble gives the piece exceptional presence and timeless appeal. Excellent condition commensurate with age and use, with a warm and rich patinated finish throughout.
