Early 20th Century Carved Bentwood Swivel “Perroquet” Coat Stand Thonet Style
Bring a retro, yet practical touch to any entry or dressing area with this elegant, carved coat stand. The useful hat rack was crafted in France, circa 1900 in the style of German-Austrian cabinet maker, Michael Thonet (1796-1871). The hall tree features a swivel top with two rows of eight hooks each, so it could be used as a dual hat and coat rack. The tall rack stand on four scrolled legs with a bottom decorative finial for a sturdy base, and a circular ring to hold umbrellas upright. The coat rack is in excellent condition and has a rich mahogany patina throughout. Measures: 23.5″ W x 23.5″ D x 82″ H.
