This antique carved onyx and brass hall tree was crafted in France, circa 1920. Standing on an intricate vasiform base ending in quadri-partite feet with dolphin form and acanthus leaf motifs, the tall rack features a turned spiral central onyx stem decorated with medial dolphin umbrella or belt hooks. The top embellished with a decorative central finial, is dressed with a swivel four scrolled shell form arms terminating in double hat and coat hooks. The elegant halltree is in very good condition with a rich patinated gilt brass finish. Place this practical and useful free standing rack in an entry way or use it in a master bathroom to hang jackets, pants or belts!
