This elegant antique French bench was crafted circa 1920 and reflects the bold architectural character of the Louis XIII style. Constructed in solid walnut, the frame features substantial turned legs with distinctive block-and-baluster forms, joined by double turned stretchers on all sides. The walnut displays a warm, rich patina that highlights the depth of the turnings and crisp transitions at the block corners. The seat has been newly upholstered in supple cognac leather, tailored with clean, squared corners and finished with a continuous line of nailhead trim along the apron.
