Early 20th Century French Louis XV Carved Walnut & Velvet Stool from Provence
Place this antique stool bench in your den for extra seating. Crafted in Provence, Southern France, circa 1920 and almost square in shape, the traditional fruit wood seating stands on elegant cabriole legs ending with scroll feet and decorated with floral medallions and leaf motifs at the shoulders. The bombe apron is embellished with foliate and shell decor on all four sides. The seat is upholstered with a rose velvet fabric, and dressed with decorative brass nail heads around the frame. The large Provincial stool is in excellent condition commensurate with age and use, and adorns a rich walnut patina with salmon velvet. Measures: 25″W x 24″D x 19″H.
