Mid-Century French Louis XV Carved Oak Four-Door Enfilade Buffet with Drawers
$5,600
About
This substantial antique French oak enfilade was crafted circa 1950 in the Louis XV provincial style. Almost nine feet long, yet only 20.5 inches deep, the piece offers impressive scale without overwhelming a space. The molded overhanging top sits above four paneled doors and three upper drawers, framed by softly curved stiles and a shaped scalloped apron. The façade displays classic Louis XV movement with arched raised panels, a scalloped apron, and cabriole legs terminating in subtle scroll feet. The oak showcases a beautiful, warm patina with rich tonal variation and natural grain throughout. The hardware is hand-forged iron, and the cabinet retains two working keys. The interior provides generous shelving for storage, making this antique-style enfilade both elegant and highly functional. Its narrow depth allows it to work beautifully in a dining room, entry hall, or as a statement piece along a long wall. This piece is extremely heavy and solidly constructed, reflecting traditional French craftsmanship. It is in excellent condition commensurate with age and use. Dimensions: 106.5″W x 20.5″D x 41″H
