Elaborately decorated in the Louis XV tradition, this large vintage serving tray combines graceful proportions with abundant Rococo ornamentation. Crafted in France circa 1950, the silver-plated tray has a shaped oval form surrounded by a deeply scalloped border adorned with shell, acanthus leaf, and scrolling foliate motifs inspired by antique French silver.

The broad surface is intricately engraved with flowers, foliage, scrollwork, and decorative cartouches, creating a richly textured design across the entire tray. Two substantial pierced handles extend from the sides and are embellished with additional floral and leaf motifs. The tray is raised on four curved feet decorated with classical shell ornament, giving it an elegant profile when displayed on a dining table, buffet, or bar.

Marks visible on the upper surface and beneath one foot provide further information regarding its manufacture. The tray is in excellent condition commensurate with age and use and retains a lustrous silver finish with subtle patination. Its generous proportions make it suitable for serving drinks, displaying decanters, or presenting decorative objects.
