Mid-Century French Maison Baguès Style Black Glass Tops Brass Side Tables
$1,500
About
Designed in France circa 1960, this refined pair of mid-century side tables is executed in the manner of Maison Baguès, the celebrated Parisian atelier renowned for its luxury lighting and finely detailed metalwork. Each table features a rectangular gilt-brass frame inset with sleek black glass, creating a striking reflective surface that enhances their modern allure.
True to the Baguès aesthetic, the design incorporates fluted legs terminating in tapered feet with ball sabots, joined by elegant X-form stretchers centered with turned finials. The brass frames have acquired a warm, even patina, adding depth and character to the polished finish.
These versatile tables can be set together as a cocktail table or used separately as end tables, lending Parisian sophistication to both traditional and contemporary interiors.
In excellent condition commensurate with age and use.
