Decorate a master bathroom, a bathtub or a kitchen cabinet with this elegant set of pharmaceutical jars. Created in Limoges, France, circa 1960 by the Atelier Sillonnet, each colorful porcelain pot dressed with a lid, features an apothecary recipe written in French on the front; each vessel is further embellished with hand painted floral decor. All jars are in excellent condition commensurate with age and use, and adorn wonderful and rich colors on white background. Stamped on the underfoot for further authentication which reads: “Peint Main, Atelier Sillonnet, Limoges France”. (Apothecary is one term for a medical professional who formulates and dispenses “materia medica” to physicians, surgeons, and patients. In addition to dispensing herbs and medicine, the apothecary offered general medical advice and a range of services that are now performed by other specialist practitioners, such as surgeons and obstetricians) Measures: 5″ diameter 11″ in height.
