Pair of Early 20th Century Dutch Blue and White Hand Painted Faience Delft Vases
Decorate a shelf or console table with this elegant pair of antique delft vases. Crafted in Holland circa 1920, both vases with wide mouth feature a scalloped rim at the top over a long neck and round shape bottom. Each vessel is hand painted in the traditional blue and white delft palette; the center medallions are decorated with sailboat on water and windmill motifs, and embellished with floral and foliage decor throughout. The porcelain pieces are in excellent condition, with soft hand painted colors, and are signed on the bottom delft with letter D in high relief for further authenticity and provenance.
