About
Decorate an office or a study with this elegant pair of vintage paintings. Created in Italy circa 1990, and hand painted on board, both colorful art works are set in the original carved gilt wood frame. Each composition, in the style of Edouard Cortes or Eugene Galien-Laloue, depicts a winter Milanese scene of the 1920’s with ladies in traditional clothing, cars and buildings around, and snow falling. These two charming paintings, signed “LAG” in the lower left corner by the artist Luca Andrea Guizzardi, are in excellent condition with rich colors. Wire in the back for easy installation. Guizzardi is an established artist, born in Milan in 1959, and was primarily inspired by the artistic trends of the Art Nouveau. He is an artist who mainly draws inspiration from his city, of which he portrays delicious glimpses. His is a realism with subdued tones that he applies with particular attention to detail. On a formal level, he is a painter who shows that he has an excellent pictorial technique based on an impressionistic use of color. Measures: 11.25″ W x 15.25″ H.
