This striking pair of vintage table lamps combines richly decorated Chinese Export-style porcelain with sculptural bronze mounts in the French Louis XV taste. Crafted circa 1970, each lamp is fashioned around a baluster-form porcelain vase with a deep red ground embellished throughout with intricate gilt floral, foliate, and scrolling motifs inspired by Chinese Export decoration.

The rounded bodies rise into tall tapering necks framed by dark patinated bronze mounts. Each side is fitted with dramatically curled handles modeled as stylized leaves and scrolls, while the upper sections are further accented with sweeping foliate ornament. The lamps rest on matching pierced bronze bases decorated with bold scrolling acanthus motifs, reinforcing their Rococo-inspired Louis XV character.

The combination of Chinese Export-inspired porcelain and finely modeled bronze mounts gives the pair an elegant Franco-Asian decorative appeal associated with mid-century interiors drawing on 18th-century chinoiserie traditions. The lamps are fitted with brass sockets and traditional harp supports and are wired for use in the United States.

The lamps are in excellent condition commensurate with age and use. The pleated shades shown are included.
