This handsome antique floor lamp combines sculptural Louis XIII styling with the practical addition of an integrated side table. Crafted in France circa 1920, the tall lamp is constructed of richly patinated walnut and features an elongated barley twist standard accented with deeply carved and gadrooned details.

The circular table is positioned midway along the column and provides a convenient surface beside a reading chair or sofa. Its molded edge is embellished with carved foliate and geometric decoration, while the lower support is centered by a bold carved pedestal decorated with scrolling acanthus leaves and raised on a substantial round base with further foliate carving.

Above the table, the spiral-turned column continues upward through additional carved bulbous elements to the lighting fixture. The lamp is fitted with a candle-form socket cover, brass hardware, harp, and a floor switch along the cord. It has been rewired for modern use.

The antique floor lamp is in excellent condition commensurate with age and use and displays a warm, rich walnut patina that highlights the depth of the carving. Both functional and decorative, it would work especially well beside a club chair, sofa, or reading area. Shade not included.
