Painted in Italy circa 1870, this captivating oil on board captures the timeless grandeur of Piazza San Marco in Venice. The artist renders the iconic domes and arches of Basilica di San Marco with a delicate, impressionistic touch, using soft brushstrokes and a muted palette to evoke the haze and movement of a bustling Venetian day.
