About
Bring charm and artistry to a hallway or living room with this vibrant 19th century French wall clock, crafted in France circa 1870. The oval oeil-de-bœuf frame showcases a striking two-tone palette in ebonized and warm wood tones, shaped in multiple rippling contours that exemplify the period’s decorative sensibilities. Under the hinged glass door, the facade is richly embellished with hand cut mother-of-pearl floral and foliate inlays, shimmering against the walnut stained background and surrounding the porcelain and enamel dial with its stylized Roman numerals. This antique timekeeper houses a traditional French movement that has been fully cleaned and serviced by our horologist, ensuring excellent working condition commensurate with age and use. The painted surfaces display a beautifully aged patina, and the piece comes complete with its original pendulum and winding key. Dimensions: 18.25″ W x 23.25″ H.
