Early 20th Century French Bistro Table with Faux Marble Top and Brass Rim
$1,900
About
This antique French bistro table, crafted circa 1920, has the classic café scale and silhouette that make these pieces so easy to place throughout the home. The round faux marble top is framed by a patinated brass gallery edge, offering a refined contrast to the darker base and giving the piece a tailored finished look. The top is supported by a slender fluted standard raised on a cast iron tripartite base with scrolling legs and worn gilt accents. The combination of faux marble, brass, and cast iron gives the table a practical elegance associated with early French café furniture, equally suited beside a chair, between a pair of fauteuils, or used as a drinks table in a sitting room. This antique table is in good condition commensurate with age and use, with expected wear to the painted and gilt surfaces and age-appropriate patina throughout. Underneath there is some iron missing but does not affect the overall stability of the piece. See detailed photo of bottom. Dimensions: 23.5″Dia x 28.25″H
