This important antique “Tian” (Provencal term for serving bowl), was crafted in Provence, southern France circa 1780. The round handmade terracotta bowl has a subtle green glaze on the inside with natural earthenware finish on the outside. Use this large dish as a centerpiece on a dining table filled with fruit, vegetable, or dressed with a flower arrangement. The tall decorative vessel is in excellent condition commensurate with age and use, and adorns a rich patinated glazed green finish. Charming and authentic old repair using metal staples (see pictures). Measures: 28″ diameter 9.5″ height.
