Early 20th Century French Walnut Barley Twist and Gilt Brass Standing Hall Tree
This antique carved fruit wood and brass hall tree was crafted in France, circa 1920. Standing on a wide female caryatid tripod form supports ending in paw feet, the tall rack features a barley twist spiral central stem decorated with brass foliate motifs in the middle. The top embellished with a decorative central finial, is decorated with a swivel four double-arms hat and coat hooks ending with shell decor, and further dressed with belt hooks. The elegant hat and coat hanger is in excellent condition commensurate with age and use, and adorns a rich walnut patina and gilt finish. Place this free standing halltree in an entry way or a master bathroom to hang jackets, pants or catch belts! Measures: 19″ W x 19″ D x 68″ H.
