This antique carved marble composition was crafted in France, circa 1870. The sculpture features a child sited on a chair her legs crossed and playing with her fingers. The art work shows exquisite detailed craftsmanship; the chair’s construction with turned legs, carved rush seat and back with decorative finials, the girl’s hair and coiffure, the delicate details on her face, feet and fingers. The large sculpture is in excellent condition with a rich white marble finish. Place this wonderful carving on a shelf or a mantel. Measures: 10″ W x 11″ D x 21″ H.
