This elegant antique French Louis Philippe sideboard brings refined 19th Century craftsmanship and generous storage to a dining room, living room, or hallway. Crafted in France circa 1860, the buffet is made of richly figured walnut with a warm honey-brown patina and beautiful bookmatched grain across the drawer fronts, paneled doors, and sides. The piece features a rounded rectangular top above three wide drawers, each dressed with decorative brass pulls and escutcheons.
The lower section is fitted with six cabinet doors opening to spacious interior storage compartments with fixed-height shelving, making the buffet both decorative and practical. The sideboard has the refined simplicity associated with the Louis Philippe period, including rounded front corners, a molded top, understated paneled doors, and a shaped plinth base raised on bracket feet. The back retains its paneled construction, and the drawers show traditional dovetail joinery. The piece comes with five keys.
The antique walnut sideboard is in excellent condition commensurate with age and use, with minor surface wear, old restorations, and a rich patina consistent with its 19th Century origin.
