19th Century French Louis XV Carved Walnut and Leather Bench Stools, Set of Two
These elegant antique stools were crafted in Lyon, France circa 1860. Standing on cabriole legs ending decorated with hand carved leaf motifs at the shoulder, and ending with escargot feet, each large stool features a bombe scalloped apron embellished with carved shell and foliage decor. Each seat is dressed with a tan leather upholstery embellished with decorative brass nail heads. The benches are in excellent condition commensurate with age and use, and adorn a rich walnut patina. Use them for extra seating in a den or living room. Slight carving differences on the frame between the two. Measure: 25″ W x 18″ D x 18″ H.
