Early 20th Century French Louis XV Carved Walnut Stool from Lyon
Use this heavily carved stool as extra seating in a den or living room! Crafted in southern France circa 1920 and square in shape, the stool stands on elegant cabriole legs decorated with acanthus leaf motifs at the shoulders and ending with escargot feet. The carved bombe and scalloped apron is embellished with shell and leaf motifs, over a surface upholstered with a salmon and yellow silk fabric, and dressed with decorative brass nail heads. The well carved and comfortable seating is in excellent condition and adorns a rich walnut patina. Measures: 19.5″ W x 19.5″ D x 18.5″ H.
