19th Century French Louis XV Carved Walnut Stool with Green Velvet
Crafted in southern France circa 1890 and round in shape, the traditional stool stands on cabriole legs decorated with floral motifs at the shoulders, and ending with scrolled feet. The scalloped apron is decorated with simple carvings that extend down the legs. The seat is upholstered with a new green velvet fabric, and dressed with brass nail heads around the frame. The Provincial stool is in excellent condition commensurate with age and use, and adorns a rich walnut patina. Place this elegant, antique fruitwood stool in your den for extra seating. It could also be used as a small vanity bench. Measures: 16.5″ Diameter, 22″ Height.
