Early 20th Century French Floral Porcelain and Iron Three-Light Chandelier
$1,800
About
Place this elegant antique chandelier in a powder room, bedroom, or entry to bring a touch of whimsical French charm. Crafted in France circa 1920, the fixture is built around a hand-forged iron frame, intricately formed as twisting vines and scrolling branches. The structure is richly adorned with hand-applied porcelain flowers, including roses, daisies, and blossoms in soft pastel hues, creating a lively and romantic garden motif. The floral elements are complemented by painted metal leaves with a naturally aged patinated finish, enhancing the organic composition.
The chandelier features three gracefully scrolled arms, each terminating in a gilt metal foliate bobeche supporting candle-style sockets. The piece has been newly wired to US standards and is ready for installation. The fixture is in excellent condition commensurate with age and use, with minor losses and wear consistent with its delicate porcelain elements. A charming and decorative lighting piece that brings color, texture, and a sense of movement to any interior.
